About the Role

Victor Consunji Development Corporation is looking for an Accounting / Finance Associate to join our dynamic team in Makati City. This full-time position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive professional looking to grow their career in finance and accounting. As a Finance Associate, you will support key financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, reporting, and compliance—contributing to the company's fiscal integrity and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Process and monitor Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, including invoice verification, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, such as billing, collection tracking, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements.
  • Support the preparation of business forms and internal reports, including account balances, cost tracking, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Assist in coordinating the budgeting process with department heads, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analyze financial performance, monitor budget variances, and provide reports to the finance team and management.
  • Review and verify expense reports and disbursement requests, ensuring they are properly documented and authorized.
  • Help ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Support accurate and timely financial data entry, ensuring compliance with internal financial policies.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in accounting records and assist with resolving transactional issues.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by organizing financial schedules and required documents.
  • Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and changes affecting the business.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in finance operations and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to junior staff or interns as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA license is a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation
  • Proficiency in accounting softwares and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and tax regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes, payroll, and general ledger functions
