About the Role

As a Loan Associate, you will support internal mortgage brokers by managing backend loan documentation, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining compliance, and coordinating with lenders.

This non–client-facing, remote role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate processing of loan applications for property investors. You will manage the administrative and operational flow of the loan journey—helping drive successful loan approvals and settlements through collaboration and precision.

Key ResponsibilitiesLoan Application Support

  • Prepare and process loan applications from pre-submission to settlement in collaboration with the Investment Lending Manager.
  • Input and verify data within key systems including Infinity, HubSpot, and Apply Online (AOL).
  • Assist in gathering and reviewing client documents, ensuring compliance with lender requirements.

Document & Data Management

  • Maintain organized, compliant digital files within platforms like Google Drive and CRM tools.
  • Cross-check client and application data across systems (Infinity vs. AOL) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support the preparation of Statements of Credit Advice (SOCA), AOL forms, and other lender documentation.

Lender Coordination

  • Submit completed loan applications via AOL with proper broker consent.
  • Request and track property valuations, pricing assessments, and credit checks.
  • Liaise with lenders to address and resolve Missing Information Requests (MIRs) and proactively follow up on outstanding items.

Loan Progress Tracking

  • Keep internal stakeholders updated on application statuses and next steps.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and handed over to the Settlement Team after formal loan approval.
  • Work closely with the Senior Loan Associate and Investment Lending Manager to maintain service quality and turnaround times.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Investment Lending Managers, Senior Loan Associates, and Settlement Officers.
  • Participate in internal meetings and process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to a supportive team culture by sharing updates, feedback, and workflow solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in Australian home loan processing or lending operations
  • Familiarity with Infinity, Apply Online (AOL), HubSpot, and Google Workspace
  • Strong understanding of banking documentation, lender policies, and compliance procedures
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and organizational skills
  • Experience addressing MIRs, ordering valuations, and reviewing credit reports
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote Zoom-based environment (camera on throughout shift)

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting SMSF loan applications or complex loan scenarios
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and AOL platforms
  • Background in property investment or experience working with mortgage brokers
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
