About the role

The Regional Community Relations Lead is responsible for advancing community relations and projects, and protecting the company's reputation and relationship with the stakeholders and communities in assigned MGen Renewables' Operating and Under Development power plants.

The position leads the day-to-day operations the site operations of the assigned MGen Renewables' Operating Companies and Under Development Projects, including but not limited to the implementation of community development programs, administration of ER 1-94, implementation of community engagement initiatives, facilitation of power plant tour, and resolution of grievances to achieve company objectives in promoting a sustainable and responsible energy future.

What you'll be doing

  • Develops impactful community development initiatives, including CSR Projects and Sponsorships.
  • Develop and implement community engagement plans to help improve community relations and social acceptability.
  • Develop and implements IEC activities to help communicate company initiatives to the communities.
  • Conducts orientation of ER 1-94 to help provide value to the host beneficiaries of the power plant.
  • Review and endorse the Annual Work Plan (AWP) and Liquidation Reports submitted by the host beneficiaries.
  • Develops stakeholder engagement initiatives with the local government units and external agencies.

What we're looking for

  • Professional: At least 3 years of experience in community relations, project management or related field and work experience

  • Degree in a relevant field such as social work, community development or public relations, Development Communication, Sociology or equivalent

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a proven track record of finding mutually beneficial solutions
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and attend evening/weekend community events as required
