About the role

As the Accounting Officer at Paramount Human Resource Multi-Purpose Cooperative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of all accounting operations for the cooperative. This full-time position is based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, and will involve a wide range of responsibilities to support the overall financial management of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, in compliance with relevant accounting standards and cooperative policies
  • Generating financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to assist management in decision-making
  • Ensuring the timely submission of financial information and reports to regulatory authorities
  • Providing support for audits and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with the implementation of financial controls and procedures to safeguard the cooperative's assets
  • Participating in the development and improvement of financial systems and processes

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably in the cooperative or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant laws and regulations
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity
