Reports to: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position is responsible for supporting the accounting department with various tasks, including data entry, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and possesses a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Assist in processing accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R).
  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile other balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain and update financial records, files, and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).
  • Support the payroll process as needed.
  • Help with tax preparation and compliance activities (e.g., gathering data for VAT, withholding tax filings).
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sumifs) and other MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ethics: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or actively pursuing certification.
  • Prior internship or 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, NetSuite).
  • Experience in a similar industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Up to Php20,000.00 per month
