Job Summary:

The MEPFS Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all site engineering tasks, ensuring project adherence to specifications, codes, and quality standards. This role includes managing MEPFS-related aspects of construction projects, supervising contractors and site staff, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.To design, sign and seal all electrical plans and electrical analysis/documents needed for Permit and Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution
  • Collaborate with project managers and design teams to review project plans, blueprints, and MEPS specifications.
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules for MEPFS components, ensuring that tasks align with the overall project timeline.
  • Conduct pre-construction site assessments, evaluating the site's readiness for MEPFS installations and identifying any potential challenges or delays.
  • MEPFS Installation and Oversight
  • Oversee the installation of all MEPS systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sanitary systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and local codes.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of MEPFS components.
  • Conduct inspections of MEPFS installations, identifying any issues, verifying quality, and ensuring that all installations meet the required safety standards.
  • Quality Control and Compliance
  • Ensure all MEPS installations comply with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular quality checks, tests, and inspections of MEPS systems, documenting findings and providing recommendations for corrective actions if needed.
  • Maintain updated records of all project documentation, including blueprints, permits, test results, and inspection reports.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site, particularly in the installation and operation of MEPFS systems.
  • Conduct safety briefings with staff and contractors, emphasizing best practices for handling MEPFS installations and safety protocols.
  • Coordination and Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between project management, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders for all MEPFS-related activities.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and updates effectively with the project team, management, and clients.
  • Coordinate with utility providers, local authorities, and other relevant entities for inspections and approvals of MEPFS installations.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
  • Identify and resolve issues related to MEPFS installations, providing technical support and solutions as required.
  • Quickly address any on-site challenges, adapting plans to mitigate delays and ensure project milestones are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification: MEPFS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire and Safety) certification is an advantage but not required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction or engineering role with significant MEPFS responsibilities.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of MEPFS systems, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot MEPS issues on-site.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in team coordination and contractor management.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Willing to report in NEXTASIA Florence Lipa Site located at Purok 4, Barangay Plaridel, Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
