I. POSITION DESCRIPTION

MEPFS Engineer is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and execution of all MEPFS-related works at the project site. The role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sanitary systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with the approved design, specifications, and safety standards.

II. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily on-site MEPFS construction activities and conduct comprehensive inspection of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sanitary works to ensure execution is in accordance with approved project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure that all MEPFS construction methodologies and workmanship conform to design requirements, standards, and specifications while maintaining acceptable quality and implementing value engineering practices.
  • Coordinate and liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design discrepancies and ensure proper integration of MEPFS systems with civil and architectural works.
  • Monitor and evaluate subcontractor progress and billing, ensuring alignment with the actual work accomplished and approved quantities.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on MEPFS work progress, site issues, manpower and equipment utilization, and cost status to the Project-in-Charge/Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for MEPFS-related materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Approval (RFAs) for any clarifications, revisions, or approvals required from the design team, consultants, or other stakeholders.
  • Conduct and witness testing and commissioning of MEPFS systems, ensuring that all installations are properly functioning and compliant with project standards before final turnover.
  • Ensure that all MEPFS works are executed in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable codes and regulations.

III. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor/College degree in Electrical Engineering
  • With 1–5 years' experience in Building Construction
  • Must have VALID REE License
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms and conditions
  • Knowledgeable in using AutoCAD
  • Good communication and coordination skills
