Customer Service Representative – E-commerce Accessories | 

Role Name: Customer Service Representative

Schedule: 35 hours per week; Monday - Friday 4pm - 12am ET 

Client Overview: A growing e-commerce accessories company operating on Shopify that's scaling their customer service operations to provide exceptional 24⁄7 support. They're expanding beyond their current in-house team to ensure customers receive responses within hours, not days, building stronger brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.

Job Description: You'll be the voice of a thriving accessories brand, ensuring customers feel heard and supported around the clock. This role puts you at the centre of customer experience, where your responsiveness directly impacts customer satisfaction and business growth. You'll work alongside an existing in-house team while taking ownership of after-hours coverage, making you essential to their 24⁄7 service vision. Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email within hours to maintain high service standards
  • Provide comprehensive customer support through the Gorgias platform during nights, weekends, and off-hours
  • Handle order-related inquiries and troubleshooting using Shopify e-commerce platform
  • Collaborate with in-house customer service team to ensure consistent service quality across all touchpoints
  • Manage customer communications to build brand loyalty and positive customer relationships
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and resolution outcomes
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while resolving standard inquiries independently
Requirements
  • Experience with Shopify e-commerce platform for handling order management and customer inquiries
  • Strong written communication skills for professional email-based customer interactions
  • Customer service experience in e-commerce, retail, or online business environment
  • Ability to work independently during off-hours coverage with minimal supervision
  • Bonus if you have experience with Gorgias customer service platform
  • It helps if you have experience with accessories, fashion, or lifestyle e-commerce brands
