About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team at IAN SMART ENERGY CORP' in South Caloocan Metro Manila. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the timely delivery of financial information to support strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes
  2. Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting records
  3. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
  6. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function
  7. Supervising, mentoring, and developing the accounting team
  8. Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations and accounting standards

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. 5+ years of experience in a similar Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountant role, preferably within the energy industry
  3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  6. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information effectively
  7. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop the accounting team
  8. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred
