Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Legal Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth legal research, analyzing laws, regulations, and legal articles, and preparing accurate and concise reports to support legal proceedings, policy development, and corporate decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents in the Philippines and other jurisdictions as needed.
  • Analyze and summarize findings in well-structured reports or legal memoranda.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and update internal databases accordingly.
  • Assist lawyers in case preparation, including compiling case-related documents and evidence.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and legal opinions.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, courts, and other legal institutions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies in all research work.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data privacy laws.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, or related field (LLB or Juris Doctor preferred).
  • Solid understanding of Philippine legal system, including civil, criminal, and administrative law.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in legal research or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in legal databases and research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, ChanRobles, The LawPhil Project).
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
