JOB SUMMARY

The Legal Counsel is responsible for handling all legal issues of  EEI Corporation and its subsidiaries. He/She will provide legal advice to ensure the protection of its rights and responsibilities/duties under the law.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitoring legal risk in the documentation and giving guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk;
  2. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for natural and juristic persons;
  3. Conducting legal research and case law related to specific issues or industries to help the Legal Department develop legal strategies;
  4. Reviewing and analyzing contracts, leases, deeds, agreements, and other legal documents for EEI and its subsidiaries
  5. Represent the company in all legal proceedings at arbitration or mediation hearings and courts
  6. Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and answers to complaints.
  7. Witnessing legally binding signatures on documents and verifying the identification of contract participants and administering oaths. (NOTARY)
  8. Performs other duties as assigned by the head of the Legal Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law with strong academic credentials
  • Philippine Bar Association - Member
  • Admitted attorney of at least two years standing.
