The OJT Technical Support Intern will work closely with out IT team to provide first-line technical assistance to internal staff. This hands-on training opportunity is designed for students or individuals seeking practical experience in a professional IT environment. The intern will assist troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • User Support: Provide technical support to employees via various channels (in-person, phone, email, or instant messaging) to resolve technical and application problems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including but not limited to: Operating System problems (Windows, macOS, etc.), Application and software functionality issues (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), Printing and network connectivity issues.
  • System Maintenance: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • New User Setup: Help setup new user accounts, profiles, and hardware.
  • Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides to assist with common issues and processes.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and maintaining the IT hardware and software inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior technical support staff to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Special Projects: Participate in IT-related projects as assigned, such as system upgrades, security audits, or new technology roll-outs.
