The General Accountant's main role will be to support the activities of All Asian Countertrade Inc. and its subsidiaries by working closely with the Accounting Manager in keeping the company's books and making sure all business deals are well-documented and managed. The role will also review and analyze accounting records and transactions and ensuring validity and accuracy of all entries posted.

Description of Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Intercompany Transactions and Reconciliation

  • Provide schedule of advances of subsidiaries and planters and millers on a weekly basis for Fincom's meeting every Friday.
  • Furnish billing statements (per batches on a monthly basis or as needed)
  • Monitor and reconcile balances as required.

Account and Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform bank reconciliation.
  • Perform checking of blank checks liquidation.
  • Prepare and post Journal Vouchers for month-end reporting together with supporting schedules.

Accounts Payable Processing

  • Check daily payables template to be forwarded to Treasury as reference.
  • Prepare BIR and Advance VAT certificates, as needed.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of the attachments for AP vouchers upon receipt of hard copies.
  • Accomplish schedule of withholding taxes for monthly tax reporting and ensure funding before it falls due.

Employees' Account Reconciliation

  • Prepare and post Journal Vouchers for employees' liquidation of expenses.
  • Submit monthly schedule of employee advances, including subsidiaries', for payroll purposes.
  • Accomplish payroll deduction authorization as required and/or email concerned employees for charges due.

Audit and Consolidation

  • Assist internal and external auditors during quality audits.
  • Accomplish GFFS for Parent and Subsidiaries

Report Generation

  • Prepare and submit weekly update on advances of subsidiaries and planters and millers report for the Fincom department every Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Attainment: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy is a must, preferably CPA

  • Relevant Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years relevant work experience in General Accounting.

  • Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Accurate, comfortable with numbers and organized.

  • Amazing attention to detail, and proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Able to prioritize, work autonomously and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, including being adaptable to work with a variety of personalities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
