Job Summary:

The General Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of Biocare's financial records. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledgers, preparing timely financial reports, and ensuring full compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), and tax regulations.


Major Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accuracy, validity, and completeness of general ledgers through regular account reconciliations and review of supporting accounting schedules.
  • Validate accuracy and reliability of account balances in alignment with internal controls and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, journal entries, and necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable local accounting standards.
  • Manage timely preparation and submission of statutory reports and BIR filings (VAT, withholding tax, income tax, etc.).
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable, receivable, payroll entries, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in financial processes, internal controls, and ERP system usage.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Management Accounting.
  • Must be a Certified Bookkeeper.
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or holder of relevant certifications in accounting, finance, or risk and controls.
  • At least three (3) years of intensive work experience in accounting and finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems.
  • Strong expertise in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
