About the role

We're seeking an experienced General Accountant to join the AE Proteina Industries Inc.' team in our Makati City, Metro Manila office. As General Accountant, you'll be responsible for maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you'll be doing

  1. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options necessary to implement accounting principles or standards required by Accounting Advisory bodies and or Government agencies
  2. Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  3. Maintains financial security by following internal controls set forth by management.
  4. Review accuracy and authenticity of documents on asset, liability, and capital account by compiling, tallying and analyzing the financial transactions entered into the Accounting System.
  5. Reconciles and recommend action for related financial discrepancies.
  6. Summarizes current financial status by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports required by management.
  7. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  8. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and providing summary reports.
  9. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  10. Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  11. Maintains company confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  12. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  13. Accomplishes the above primary role through collaboration with the accounting staff.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar general accounting role, preferably in the Accounting industry
  3. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, procedures, and reporting standards
  4. Proficiency in using financial software and spreadsheet applications (e.g. Excel)
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills
