Role Overview

As a Merchant Onboarding Officer, you won't just be acquiring merchants — you'll be owning the growth of a key segment of our business. You'll think beyond sales targets to shape acquisition strategies, influence internal teams, and deliver an excellent merchant onboarding experience that reflects our values and regulatory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end onboarding to new merchants including leading kick-off calls, training sessions, and troubleshooting issues during the onboarding process
  • Foster long-term business relationships with merchants by ensuring prompt support and smooth experience pre and post onboarding
  • Project manage and demonstrate a deep understanding of the onboarding process, consistently providing updates and feedbacks to internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and deliver proactive communication and a consultative onboarding experience by understanding current merchant priorities
  • Work closely with sales and merchant success on day-to-day operational processes and alert leadership when anything is off-track throughout the onboarding process
  • Suggest feature and product enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, partnerships, or business development in fintech, banking, or payments.
  • Familiarity with QRPH, POS systems, online payment gateways, or digital wallets.
  • Exposure to working with SMEs, enterprise clients, and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership mindset — you take initiative, make decisions, and drive outcomes without waiting for direction.
