Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Design Compliance Manager to oversee all design and product compliance activities for our modular housing projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that all modular housing products and components fully comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), the Building Code of Australia (BCA), and all applicable Australian Standards (AS).

Key Responsibilities

● Ensure all modular housing designs and manufactured components comply with the NCC, BCA, and relevant Australian Standards.● Liaise with Australian certifiers, engineers, and regulatory authorities to resolve compliance issues.● Oversee compliance for materials, finishes, structural systems, energy efficiency, accessibility, fire safety, waterproofing, and thermal performance.● Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation such as Certificates of Conformity, Product Technical Statements, CodeMark/WaterMark approvals, and supplier declarations.● Conduct design reviews to confirm conformity with Australian standards prior to manufacturing.● Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to address non-compliances.● Work with Australian-based building surveyors, certifiers, engineers, and architects to ensure approvals are secured.● Provide compliance guidance to suppliers and manufacturers in Vietnam, the Philippines, and other offshore locations.● Report regularly to senior management on compliance risk, certification timelines, and design approval status.

Qualifications & Experience

● Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).● Minimum 7+ years' experience in compliance or design management, preferably in modular or prefabricated construction.● Strong working knowledge of the NCC, BCA, and Australian Standards relevant to residential construction.● Experience with compliance certification schemes (CodeMark, WaterMark, FSC, energy efficiency ratings, etc.).● Demonstrated experience working on international projects, preferably with exposure to Australian residential or modular housing projects.● Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage compliance timelines.● Excellent communication skills in English; ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones.

Preferred Skills

● Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and compliance auditing.● Experience with structural steel, glazing, waterproofing, thermal performance, and fire safety compliance.● Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and compliance tracking systems.● Ability to mentor junior staff and establish compliance training programs.

Location: Philippines (remote with international coordination)Reports To: Director of Design & Compliance (Australia)Collaboration: Australian architects, engineers, surveyors, and offshore manufacturing partners.
