Head of Traffic Management Design

Salary: PHP 100,000 to PHP 150,000 per month

Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Traffic Management Design to lead and develop a growing remote team that delivers high-quality Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) for one of Queensland's leading traffic management companies in Australia.

This role is ideal for a strong leader with deep expertise in traffic management design who can coach, mentor, and drive team performance while ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. You will act as the key point of accountability for the design team in the Philippines and serve as a direct liaison with the Australian senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 7 Traffic Management Designers.
  • Develop team capabilities through structured training and ongoing development programs.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, team huddles, and coaching sessions to foster growth and performance.
  • Manage workload allocation to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Review and approve all TGS and TMP drawings prior to submission.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Australian standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain QA processes to minimize errors and rework.

Performance Management

  • Set clear KPIs and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement improvement plans to drive productivity and accountability.

Client Engagement & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Philippine design team and Australian leadership.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on productivity, QA compliance, and team development.
  • Participate in monthly review meetings with senior management in Australia.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Transport Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required with relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Traffic Management Design.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical design teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland/Australian standards for traffic management plans and drawings.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, RapidPlan, or similar.
  • Excellent English communication skills — both written and verbal.
