JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Head Barista/Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the front-of-house team. You will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining product quality, and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Senior Barista, you'll also mentor junior staff, uphold cleanliness and safety standards, and support management in achieving sales and service goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Customer Service

  • Lead opening and/or closing shifts with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging warmly and professionally with guests.
  • Ensure coffee and drink quality is consistent with KIJI standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment.
  • Handle POS operations, cash handling, and reconciliation when required.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support baristas during daily shifts.
  • Train, coach, and mentor junior staff in coffee skills and customer interaction.
  • Support onboarding of new hires and ensure adherence to service protocols.
  • Provide feedback to management about team performance and store needs.

Inventory & Quality Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and ingredients.
  • Conduct quality checks on coffee equipment and baked goods.
  • Ensure proper rotation and handling of products to minimize waste.

Requirements:

  • With experience as a barista and in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts.
  • Food Safety Certification is a plus.
  • Willing to be initially assigned in BGC, with potential reassignment to MOA and/or Glorietta locations thereafter.
  • Shifting schedule (5am to 3pm / 12am to 10pm/Mid) with Rest Day.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php35,000.00 per month
