About the Role

Next Staffing Group is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Virtual Assistant (VA) to support one of our U.S.-based clients. In this role, you will provide both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) support, helping streamline financial operations and free up internal resources to focus on growth.

This is a fully remote contractor position—ideal for candidates who are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
  • Set up new vendors in the system for 1099 reporting compliance
  • Enter vendor invoices accurately and on schedule
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Monitor outstanding customer invoices
  • Manage collections communications and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve payment or billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping (AP/AR tasks specifically)
  • Familiarity with U.S. accounting processes and 1099 vendor setup
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Must actively track working hours using a monitoring tool such as Time Doctor or ActivTrac
