Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions. This role is responsible for supervising the work of accounting staff, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, safeguarding company assets, and supporting management in financial planning and decision-making. The position ensures that all accounting activities meet organizational policies, legal requirements, and reporting deadlines.

Work Description:

  • Lead, coach, and monitor the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial processing and reporting.

  • Review staff-prepared journal entries, reconciliations, vouchers, and financial reports before submission to the Accounting Manager and VP–Operations.

  • Oversee posting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for disbursements, payables, receivables, and other transactions using GLS or equivalent systems.

  • Ensure timely preparation of check vouchers, supplier payments, and liquidation reports for field force personnel.

  • Monitor and review monthly expense reports, cash advances, and other financial records for accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures in accordance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure confidential handling and proper filing of financial documents.

  • Safeguard company financial information through regular database back-up and secure record-keeping.

  • Oversee communication with suppliers regarding billing notices and collection schedules.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

  • Support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and staff development programs.

Requirements:

A. Educational requirement/Licensure requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management

  • CPA license is an advantage but not required

B. Required years of experience:

  • At least 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior role

C. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies required:

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards

  • Proficiency in accounting systems (GLS preferred) and MS Excel

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php33, Php35,000.00 per month
