Position: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (AGENCY SALES)

The role is responsible for driving business growth through the agency channel within an assigned territory and involves managing existing agencies, recruiting and developing new insurance advisors and agency leaders, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales and productivity targets. The BDM will act as the key link between the company and its agency partners, ensuring high performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle assigned agency partners within the designated territory to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, and train high-potential Life Insurance Advisors (Agents) and Agency Leaders to build a productive sales force.
  • Drive sales targets through agency partners and ensure consistent month-on-month growth.
  • Develop and execute area-level business plans and strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with agency leaders and advisors to foster engagement and retention.
  • Track sales performance, analyze productivity metrics, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure all business conducted through agencies adheres to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct product and process training sessions for agency partners to enhance their selling capabilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Must have a Bachelor's degree
  2. With at least
    3–6 years of experience in life insurance agency sales management
  3. Strong understanding of life insurance products, distribution models, and regulatory environment.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Strong leadership and motivational abilities
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to work independently within assigned territory
  8. Willing to be assigned in any area within the country
  9. Proficiency in MS Office and digital reporting tools
