Business Development Manager

Position Summary
As the Business Development Manager, you will expand our presence within the property development and hotel sectors. A proactive, strategic thinker with a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
This requires you to have a deep understanding of the property and hotel markets and the ability to identify and pursue opportunities with developers, hotel management groups, and other key industry players. You will also be responsible for creating and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand our market share.
Role and Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
Strategic Planning & Market Research
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the property and hotel sectors.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.
- Create financial projections and sales targets in line with company growth objectives.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and target new business opportunities, including corporate clients, hotel groups, and property developers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
- Arrange business meetings and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the professional network.
Sales & Negotiation
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development and closing deals.
- Lead contract negotiations and finalize agreements that drive profitable and sustainable revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations) to develop customized solutions that meet clients' needs.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and pipeline activity using CRM software.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales activities, progress against targets, and market intelligence.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have/be able to:
- 8–10+ years of experience in business development or government sales, with a proven track record of winning government contracts.
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the real estate, property development, or hotel industry.
- A strong network of contacts within the property development and hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences
