We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting/ Finance Officer to join our dynamic team at Victor Consunji Development Corporation. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our operations. Based in our Makati City office, you will be responsible for a range of financial accounting and reporting duties, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and integrity of financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with company policies and applicable standards.
  • Supervise the preparation of business forms and reports, including account balances, cost tracking, and budget comparisons.
  • Lead and review the budgeting process in coordination with department heads, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to the CFO and senior management.
  • Approve invoices, review expense reports, and ensure proper documentation and authorization in line with company protocols.
  • Ensure timely collection and disbursement of funds, including invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Oversee and review financial data entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and provide guidance to resolve accounting or transactional issues. Assist with audits by organizing schedules and sharing necessary documents.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of financial regulations and legislation affecting the company's operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for finance processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Mentor, guide, and evaluate finance staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial clarity and compliance across the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and tax regulations
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven experience in budget planning, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and taxation.
  • Must be amenable to work onsite in Makati from Monday to Friday.
