Job Posting: Accounting and Finance Assistant

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Officer to oversee the full spectrum of our company's finance and accounting operations. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage accounting processes end-to-end while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

As the Accounting and Finance Officer, you will take the lead in managing financial functions, from bookkeeping to compliance, while also acting as the key specialist for finance operations.

Your core responsibilities include:

1. General Accounting & Finance

  • Maintain and update the company's books of accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor company expenses and cash flow.

2. Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Collection & SOA Preparation

  • Prepare and issue invoices and Statements of Account (SOA).
  • Record client payments and update ledgers.
  • Monitor AR aging and perform follow-ups on overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with clients on collections and provide management with status reports.

3. Accounts Payable (AP) & Disbursements

  • Process supplier invoices, reimbursements, and disbursements.
  • Maintain AP schedules and ensure timely settlement of obligations.

4. Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR returns (VAT, withholding, income tax, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with government agencies (SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).

5. Banking & Treasury

  • Handle deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with banking partners on financial transactions.

6. Reconciliation & Internal Control

  • Reconcile AR, AP, bank accounts, and general ledger balances.
  • Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective measures.

7. Supervisory & Specialist Role

  • Serve as the company's primary finance and accounting specialist.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Establish internal controls and support management during audits and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license is an advantage but not required.
  • At least [2] years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, billing, and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and government compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel/Word).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
