About the role

As an Importation Specialist at FRS Contracting Services, OPC, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's import operations. Reporting to the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient clearance of goods through customs, while adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures. This full-time position is based in Marikina City, Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinating with customs brokers and other relevant parties to facilitate the clearance of imported goods
  2. Preparing and submitting all necessary documentation, including import declarations, to ensure compliance with customs requirements
  3. Monitoring the status of import shipments and addressing any issues or delays that may arise
  4. Staying up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures, and updating internal processes accordingly
  5. Providing training and support to other members of the logistics team on import-related matters
  6. Maintaining accurate records and generating reports on import activities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 1yr experience in a similar importation or customs-related role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry
  2. Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation requirements
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with customs officials, brokers, and other external stakeholders
  4. Proficient in using relevant software and technology to manage import processes
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  6. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle complex import-related issues
