JOB SUMMARY:

The Importation Logistics

Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the import supply chain. This role ensures the efficient and compliant transportation of goods from international suppliers to the company's warehouse or distribution centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
  • Collaboration with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international import regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate import documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
  • Analyze, optimize, and implement system improvements for import logistics cost and processes.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import operations.
  • Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and market trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to customs, tariffs, or logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • 4 – 5 years of proven experience in import logistics, customs brokerage, or freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, import/export compliance, and customs procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage tasks efficiently and deliver results within set timelines
