POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Admin (Property Accounting) provides vital support to the accounting department by handling various clerical and administrative tasks. Their responsibilities often include data entry, account audits for receivable and payable transactions. The accounting admin may also assist with reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information. In essence, their role is essential in facilitating the smooth operation of financial processes within the organization.
Accounting Admin (PA) is responsible for overseeing the receivables and payables accounting processes for a large real estate portfolio that may span multiple markets where Evernest operates. As a result, Accounting Admin (PA) will need to fully understand and be able to effectively execute on the following responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post Owner and Resident Credits and Charges
- Run the Accounts Payable and Revenue Collection Function
- Research Issues and Discrepancies in Resident / Owner / Vendor Records
- Assist with Various Audits Such as Revenue Collection and Management Fees
- Follow Up and Assist Operations and Property Accounting with miscellaneous Accounting tasks
- Check Mailing Through Smart Payables Tool
- Assist the Property Accounting Manager with Ad-Hoc Projects
- Support our Internal Accounting Function by Reviewing Company Revenue and Areas of Opportunity.
- Identify, Recommend and Initiate Process Improvements and Enhancements
- Assist in Scaling the Accounting Department as the Company Grows
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance related field
- Basic Accounting Knowledge and Skills
- Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong Communication Skills, and Problem Solving Abilities
- Meticulous Attention to Detail and a Team Player
- Ability to Meet Deadlines in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Experience in Property Accounting not Required but Preferred
- Adaptability to New Technologies and Tools in the Property Accounting Field
- The interview is fully in English and we will ask Accounting Technical Questions
- Hardware requirements: Strong Internet Bandwidth, Second Monitor in Addition to Laptop, Mouse
