The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role includes supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in inventory and menu planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff including cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to health and safety regulations.
  • Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food and supplies.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to plan menus and improve kitchen operations.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and train staff in proper use.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing staff attendance.
  • Step in to cook or prep as needed during busy periods.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen environment, including some supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Standing, lifting, and working around hot equipment required.
  • May be exposed to slippery surfaces and sharp objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php19, Php25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Quezon City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
