About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team at Blue Planet Export Inc. in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement processes and ensuring the smooth sourcing and delivery of materials and goods essential to our operations.

This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced retail and consumer products environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in executing purchasing strategies and plans to meet the company's supply chain requirements
  • Research and identify potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships
  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials and goods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and ensure the timely delivery of required items
  • Provide administrative support to the Purchasing department as needed

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Proficient in using relevant procurement software and digital tools
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and data
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
  • Must be available to work at our Las Pinas City, Metro Manila location in the Philippines
