Desktop Support Technician
We are looking for a
Desktop Support Technician
to join our team If you are passionate about technology and delivering exceptional customer service, this role is for you.
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will provide technical assistance to employees, resolving issues related to computers, printers, monitors, software, and phones. You will ensure the highest level of support through your knowledge, training, and problem-solving skills while maintaining professionalism and proper office etiquette.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues via in-person, phone, or enterprise ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to PCs, mobile devices, printers, phones, and software applications (including Accounting, Payroll, and HR systems).
- Set up user accounts, reset passwords, and assist with general technology inquiries.
- Document and track issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Deliver hands-on or virtual training and create troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 teams to learn advanced skills and assist with projects.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar technical issues.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Solid knowledge of both macOS and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft server products (Active Directory, Azure) and Office 365.
- Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft) preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle equipment setup.
- 3–5 years of IT experience is a plus.
