Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department in our dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will assist in daily HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, training coordination, compliance, and HR administrative tasks. This role plays a vital part in ensuring HR processes run smoothly and efficiently to support our production and operational goals.
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree (4-year course) in any field is required.
- Preferred course: BS Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes: job postings, screening candidates, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.
- Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leaves, bonuses, etc.).
- Handle documentation related to hiring, transfers, performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.
- Coordinate training and development programs for manufacturing and administrative staff.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, especially regarding health, safety, and labor regulations within the manufacturing environment.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and internal communication.
- Support the administration of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Generate reports and assist with HR audits and performance metrics tracking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with unionized labor is an advantage.
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety practices in an industrial setting.
- Fluency in [Insert Language(s), if applicable].
Working Conditions:
- This position is primarily office-based within a manufacturing plant environment.
- Must be comfortable occasionally walking the production floor and interacting with shop floor employees.
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., audits, recruitment drives, etc.).
