HR Officer, Compensation and Benefits

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Officer – Compensation & Benefits to join our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring competitive, fair, and compliant compensation and benefits practices. The HR Officer will be responsible for managing payroll and benefits administration, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring government compliance, and conducting salary benchmarking and market analysis to support compensation strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Compensation & Salary Benchmarking
- Conduct regular salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for salary adjustments, job grading, and benefits packages.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the company's compensation framework and policies.
- Support annual compensation reviews, merit increases, and incentive program administration.
B. Payroll Management
- Review and process employee timekeeping adjustments (overtime, undertime, shift changes).
- Coordinate with payroll vendor for accurate and timely payroll computation.
- Resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies and respond to related employee inquiries.
- Verify attendance reports and conduct leave audits for encashment and new entitlements.
- Manage payroll bank account enrollment for new hires.
C. Benefits Administration
- Administer and monitor employee benefits programs (leaves, medical, loans, allowances, etc.).
- Coordinate with government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and third-party providers for benefits and claims.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government-mandated benefits.
- Prepare employee certifications and documentation related to compensation and benefits.
D. HR Information Systems (HRIS)
- Maintain and update employee compensation and benefits records in HRIS.
- Generate reports on payroll, benefits utilization, and compensation trends for management.
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance with labor laws, and adherence to data privacy standards.
E. Compliance & Employee Support
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Educate employees on compensation, benefits, and leave policies.
- Assist in employee offboarding by verifying final pay computations and ensuring proper documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits, payroll, or HR operations.
- Strong background in salary benchmarking and compensation analysis.
- Familiarity with government-mandated benefits compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Proficient in HRIS platforms and handling confidential employee data.
- Amenable to work onsite in Makati office.
