Position Overview
IBEX, a Business Process Outsourcing call center with global operations, is looking for a VP, Accounting to lead the Philippines Accounting team. Reporting to the SVP, Controller, the VP, Accounting will be responsible for leading the accounting, tax, and payroll teams for the Company's Philippines legal entities in support of US public company requirements.

Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee accounting, tax, payroll and regulatory processes for the Philippines legal entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations as well as US GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with the Company´s global standardized processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records; ensure the integrity of financial data and transactions (included but not limited to treasury/cash management, accounts payable, payroll processing, income tax / VAT / PEZA compliance, internal controls, etc).
- Ensure compliance with global close and balance sheet reconciliation timelines.
- Lead local IFRS audit process, including preparation of financial statements and managing local auditors in conjunction with global audit timelines.
- Ensure ongoing VAT compliance and minimization of VAT for the Company, in compliance with BIR regulations.
- Attend monthly P&L reviews with the country and site leaders, answer questions as applicable.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensure timely, accurate payroll payments, compliance with local laws and company´s processes.
- Manage local banking relationships and cash flow/funding requests for the local entities.
- Monitor / maximize the PEZA status of the company, ensure ongoing compliance
- Support country leader and local finance team with annual budgeting process and monthly monitoring of the expenses of the operation; assisting with monthly reporting needs.
- In coordination with the global controller, implement best practices / process improvements to streamline and automate accounting processes, maximize human resources and minimize financial risk.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in accounting; CPA certification is desired.
- More than 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Business process outsourcing (BPO) experience / global company experience is preferred.
- Must have handled a team of at least 25 team members in a US multinational public company (Familiar with SOX/ US SEC requirements)
- Ability to work on a mid-shift work hours and/or be available to US based leadership whenever needed.
Skills/Abilities
- Advanced knowledge in accounting principles, including US GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced knowledge of Philippines taxes (income, VAT, other).
- Advanced understanding of internal controls / SOX compliance for US public companies.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills with ability to drive improvements to processes and motivate a high-performing team.
- Strong drive and high implementation and execution biases. Ability to quickly remove roadblocks to progress.
- Excels in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment with the ability to keep a positive, flexible attitude and level head.
- High level of detail and process orientation and analytical problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to communicate with respect and tact in all situations.
- Ability to influence others to further goals.
