Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Chief Mechanic to lead our mechanical team and oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery, or equipment. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills, leadership experience, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Schedule and manage preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory of tools/parts.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics and monitor performance.
  • Coordinate with operations and management for equipment availability.
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or technical certification in mechanics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical repair (automotive, heavy equipment, or related field).
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with mechanical tools and repair software (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
