Role Overview

We are looking for a Building Engineer to join our Property Management team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance, safety, and operation of our leasable properties and common areas. The Building Engineer serves as the front-liner and main technical point of contact for all property-related maintenance, repairs, and improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise day-to-day property maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
  2. Plan and monitor technicians' schedules and ensure proper execution of maintenance tasks.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all facilities.
  4. Coordinate with tenants for technical concerns, repairs, and move-in/move-out inspections.
  5. Oversee and evaluate performance of third-party contractors and service providers.
  6. Assist in project planning, budgeting, and documentation for property improvements and construction works.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
  8. Act as the site's Chief Fire Marshal, Pollution Control Officer, and Safety Officer when necessary.

Qualifications

  1. Licensed Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineer (preferred).
  2. At least 3–5 years of experience in property or building maintenance, facilities management, or construction supervision.
  3. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
  4. Good customer service, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including tenants, contractors, and government offices.
  6. Proficient in preparing reports, estimates, and technical documentation.
  7. Willing to travel or be assigned to various property sites as needed.
