Financial Analyst

Primary Role:

To support the financial integrity and performance of the Managed Device as a Service (MDaaS) engagement by preparing and analyzing financial reports, monitoring asset inventory records, validating billing statements, and ensuring alignment between commercial, operational, and financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Prepare and analyze monthly P&L reports specific to Managed Device as a Service (MDaaS) accounts, including revenue, direct costs, margins, and variances.
• Track and report financial performance indicators such as cost per device, monthly recurring revenue (MRR), and device utilization rate.
• Support pricing validation, profitability modeling, and financial justifications for renewals and scope changes.
• Develop financial dashboards and summary reports for internal leadership and client presentations.

2. Billing and Revenue Assurance

• Validate monthly billing based on actual device deployment and consumption records aligned with contractual commitments.
• Coordinate with billing and service teams to resolve discrepancies between deployed devices and invoiced amounts.
• Monitor revenue recognition schedules to ensure compliance with contract terms and accounting standards.
• Identify and report underutilization, overage, or unbilled services for correction and follow-up.

3. Asset Inventory Reconciliation

• Review and analyze inventory reports showing device deployment status (active, returned, defective, spare).
• Validate asset movement records against financial entries to ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, and expense tracking.
• Work with Asset Management and Technical Operations to ensure up-to-date tagging, reconciliation, and reporting of all in-scope assets.
• Provide monthly reconciliation reports of financial asset records vs. physical inventory.

4. Contract and Commercial Support

• Assist in financial modeling for new proposals, pricing adjustments, or contract renewals.
• Support financial input in the preparation of Service Credit reports, SLA penalty reviews, or any financial impact assessments tied to performance.
• Track financial obligations and commitments across the Managed Device as a Service (MDaaS) contract lifecycle.

5. Cost Optimization and Forecasting

• Identify cost drivers and recommend optimization strategies to maintain or improve profit margins.
• Support quarterly forecasting and budgeting activities for the Managed Device as a Service (MDaaS) business unit.
• Analyze trends in support tickets, replacements, and asset refresh cycles to project future spending.

Collaborations:

• Sales & Account Management: Provide financial insights to support client reviews and renewal discussions.
• Service Delivery & Operations: Align asset records with deployment and incident resolution logs.
• Warehouse & Logistics: Validate device movements and location-based inventory data.
• Billing & Accounting: Ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely client billing.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 3–5 years in financial analysis, preferably in IT services or asset management.
• Strong in P&L analysis, cost modeling, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and contract financial terms.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
