Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused
Accounts Receivable Specialist
to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, including
cash application, billing, collections, and B2B account management
. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Application

  • Accurately apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) to customer accounts.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and unapplied cash.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and support month-end close activities.

Billing & Invoicing

  • Prepare and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure billing aligns with contract terms, purchase orders, and customer requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining billing schedules and updating customer account information.

Collections

  • Manage B2B collections and follow up on past-due accounts.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve outstanding balances and disputes.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities.

Customer Service & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AR-related inquiries.
  • Provide prompt, professional support to customers and internal teams.
  • Build strong relationships with key business partners and customers to ensure smooth AR operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, including cash application, billing, and collections
  • Experience working with
    B2B clients
    required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
