Specific duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of all the measuring and testing equipment based on the standards.
  • Responsible for testing and evaluating new equipment to ensure it is functioning properly before releasing to the end-user.
  • Responsible for overall measurement system analysis and assessment based on the result.
  • Responsible for ensuring metrology is standard based on requirements of fixtures, equipment and testers.
  • Responsible for the first article inspection and interpreting data.
  • Responsible in the measurement techniques and leads validation of measurement methods.
  • Responsible for overseeing the smooth function of CO and Flow bench using the statistical data.
  • Establish a test quality plan, test quality control standards, and policies and procedures to meet customer, system, regulatory, and internal requirements, resulting in a high level of quality control and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (i.e. Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or experience in the field of manufacturing quality.
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in APQP, MSA, GD&T, CMM and IMTEs
  • Minimum of 8 to10 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment with high-volume of new commodities/ parts annual introduction, with at least 7-8-years experience in Calibration and Emission Testing.
  • Experience in automotive parts supplier manufacturing is a definite advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills which make him/her capable of influencing workshop process and quality by himself with facts.
  • Has the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Hands-on mentality, results driven.
  • Must have knowledge of production concepts such as 6S, Kaizen, Lean, OEE, TPM, SMED, and continuous Improvement.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, decision making skills (based on data) as well as interpersonal skills, including people-development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Excellent Communication skills to all levels in the organization.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of supplier quality and development.
  • Experience with Quality Standards (ISO 9001, 14001,18001 /45001 and ISO 17025)
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications
