PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Light and Heavy equipment mechanics perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, such as trucks, buses, service vehicles, tractors, and cranes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect and diagnose: Check equipment for faults and malfunctions, and use diagnostic tools to identify issues

  • Repair and replace: Fix or replace worn or broken parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears

  • Overhaul: Service major components, such as engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems

  • Perform routine maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other regular maintenance tasks

  • Travel to worksites: Repair large equipment at job sites

  • Keep records: Maintain logs of equipment condition and work performed

  • Fabricating, modifying, and installing special equipment or replacement parts

  • Performing road tests

  • Making emergency repairs in the field

  • Changing and repairing tires

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of heavy equipment systems, Including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions

  • Troubleshooting: Ability to use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot issues=

  • Mechanical skills: Proficiency in welding, machining, and other fabrication techniques

  • Safety: Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for heavy equipment operations

  • Communication: Written and oral communication skills, Including the ability to follow and relay instructions

REQUIREMENT

  • Automotive graduate/NC II TESDA Certified for mechanic

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in engine overhauling and troubleshooting

  • Willing to be assigned at Alphaland Balesin Island Club Inc., Polilio Island

  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
