Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Field Service Technician.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling extensively throughout the country to customer sites, providing technical support and maintenance services for heavy machinery.

You will work closely with customers to diagnose and repair issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and provide training on new equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our customers' operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical testing, installation (or PIPs), troubleshooting, and repair of cranes.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnoses, and/or crane health checks for customers nationwide.
  • Deliver operator trainings and commissioning on new or used cranes sold to customers.
  • Prepare field service reports and provide recommended parts and maintenance to customers.
  • Complete required reports and documentation including field service reports and timesheets.
  • Attend service trainings as prescribed by the company to improve technical competencies.
  • Properly use and maintain assigned company assets (mobile phone, laptop, service tools, company vehicle, etc.).
  • Adhere to and enforce safety policies and procedures on company and customer premises.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or 2-year technical course specializing in Electromechanical technology.
  • Must have basic English oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, and valid driver's license.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Extensive domestic travel may be necessary.
  • Able to work on provincial assignments.
