Overview

Auto Mechanic role at Commonwealth Foods, Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect engine and electrical/mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing to identify issues with vehicles.
  • Perform routine automotive care, including oil changes, and repair or replace worn or defective parts to restore functionality and longevity.
  • Schedule maintenance sessions and advise drivers on good vehicle use practices.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repair or maintenance (cost, time, and effort).
  • Maintain work logs and repair/maintenance records.
  • Operate various tools and heavy equipment (e.g., forklift) as needed.
  • Test parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Perform related tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with completion of a relevant vocational program and certification (e.g., ASE Certification) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience as Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, as well as diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work with computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Physical strength and stamina to work on vehicles for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work in Mandaluyong City.
  • 1 full-time position, direct hire.
