Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Safety Officer to ensure that our workplace meets health and safety standards. The role involves monitoring compliance, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety policies, programs, and procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards
  • Organize safety training and awareness programs for employees
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
  • Coordinate with management and other departments to address safety concerns and implement improvements
  • Promote a safe working environment and encourage adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in safety (e.g., BOSH, COSH, or equivalent) is required.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Officer in Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Good communication, training, and reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
