Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Safety Officer / Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to oversee workplace safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will help ensure a safe working environment and support the company's compliance with environmental laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across the workplace
  • Implement and improve health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs and policies
  • Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for employees
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain records of safety activities, permits, and regulatory compliance
  • Act as the company's Pollution Control Officer and liaise with government agencies (e.g., DENR, LGU) as required
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of environmental compliance reports (e.g., SMR, CMR)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
  • With or without prior experience; relevant training or certifications are an advantage (e.g., BOSH, COSH, PCO Training)
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and environmental regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools
