Overview
Join a growing specialty coffee team as one of two full-time Customer Experience & Email Marketing Assistants. In this role, you'll ensure an excellent customer journey by delivering timely, professional support outside of standard business hours. You'll also help create and manage simple, engaging newsletters that connect with both retail and wholesale customers, playing a vital part in community engagement and brand growth.
Job Highlights
- Monthly Rate: Php 40,000-46,000
- Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-time (mix of weekday and weekend coverage)
Schedule:
Weekdays: 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM or 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (4 hours)
- Weekends: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM (8 hours, includes 1-hour unpaid break)
- Work Arrangement: Work from home
- Contract: Independent Contractor
- Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and depend on your performance in the application process.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience Support
- Respond to customer inquiries via email in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner
- Provide product information, order support, and general assistance to both retail and wholesale customers
- Monitor shared inboxes (info@ and orders@) using Gmail and Gmelius
- Tag internal team members for support when inquiries require escalation
- Assist during off-hours coverage (weekday 4-hour shifts, weekend 8-hour shifts with 1-hour break)
- Shadow existing email threads to learn tone and approach before taking full ownership
Newsletter Creation & Management
- Draft and send regular newsletters announcing new product releases and updates
- Maintain a consistent voice and style aligned with the brand
- Coordinate email content for both online retail and wholesale customers
- Use basic email marketing tools (training provided)
Requirements
Experience
- Previous customer service, support, or hospitality experience (required)
- Specialty coffee experience (barista, roaster, or industry background) highly preferred
- Bonus: Familiarity with email marketing tools
Skills
- Strong written English communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow brand tone
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using Gmail
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing time across split shifts
