Job Summary :

  • Responsible for overseeing and directing the daily production operations, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently, safely and the required standard. Acts as the crucial link between the production floor team and upper management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :

A. Productions and Efficiency Management

  • Schedule Attainment: Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring all tasks. resources, and workflows are executed to the meet established production schedule and delivery deadlines.
  • Workflow Optimization: Monitor processes, equipment, and personnel to maximize downtime, and reduce waste (scarp)
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify, analyze (using root cause analysis), and resolve operational and equipment issues on the production line to maintain flow
  • Continuous Improvement (CI): Implement lean Manufacturing by suggesting and driving process improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost per unit.

B. Team Leadership and Personnel Management

  • Supervision: Lead, Motivate, and manage the production team, assigning daily tasks and prioritizing work based on skills and production demands.
  • Training and Coaching: Conduct on-the-job training for new hires and provide ongoing, mentorship, and feedback to current employees to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to Standard operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Performance Management: Evaluate employee performance, administer disciplinary actions, and manage attendance/shift coverage.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contract for the production team, communicating goals, expectations, policy changes, and relaying relaying operational concerns to management.

C. Quality and Compliance :

  • Quality Control: Ensure all manufactured products meet established quality standards and specifications. Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance Department to address and resolve any non-conformance issues.
  • Safety: Implement and enforce all health and safety protocols (e.g.)., OSHA regulations, machine guarding lockout/tagout procedures). Conduct regular safety audits, lead safety training and investigate all workplace accidents/incidents.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, shift summaries, quality reports, and maintenance logs.

D.. Resource and Inventory :

  • Resources Allocation: Ensure the production line has the necessary materials, component, and tools available before a shift begins.
  • Equipment Care: Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule and oversee routine preventive Maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Qualification :

  • At least with 1 year or more years of experience as an extrusion supervisor or in a similar manufacturing role, with a proven tract record of leadership.
  • An Engineering college graduate or equivalent is generally required, though an associate's or bachelor a related technical field can also considered.
  • in-depth knowledge of extrusion processes, materials(e.g., Plastics) and equipment is essential. They must be skilled in troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance.
  • Strong leadership , communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial for motivating and directing a team effectively
