Warehouseman

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving & Inspection

• Receive deliveries of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other incoming items.
• Inspect items for damage, verify quantities against delivery documents (e.g., invoices, packing slips).
• Record and report discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.

2. Inventory Control

• Label and organize goods accurately in the warehouse.
• Perform regular inventory checks and assist with monthly/quarterly stock counts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the system (manual or digital).
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) systems as per company standards.

3. Storage & Organization

• Store goods in designated areas following proper food safety and storage guidelines (e.g., temperature zones, allergen separation).
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards (GMP, HACCP).
• Ensure pallets, racks, and goods are stored safely to prevent damage or accidents.

4. Dispatch & Loading

• Pick and pack finished goods for delivery or internal transfer.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Verify outgoing shipments against dispatch orders or delivery notes.

5. Warehouse Sanitation

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse area daily.
• Dispose of damaged packaging, expired materials, or waste according to protocols.
• Sanitize storage areas and follow pest control measures.

6. Equipment Operation & Safety

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or trolleys.
• Follow all company safety procedures including wearing PPE.
• Report any safety hazards or broken equipment immediately.

7. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with the production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Provide support during audits, inspections, or deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Job Requirements

• Education: College graduate (any field – logistics or supply chain background is a plus)
• Experience: Prior warehouse or logistics experience in manufacturing or food industry is an advantage but not required.
• Physical: Must be physically fit; able to lift heavy items (25–50 kg), stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
• Skills:
• Basic computer or inventory system knowledge
• Attention to detail and organization
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Teamwork and good communication skills
• Other:
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or overtime if needed
• Forklift license is an advantage

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment (dry/cold depending on storage areas)
• May involve rotating shifts or extended hours during high production periods
• Exposure to food-grade materials, warehouse machinery, and safety protocols
