SAFETY OFFICER III / POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER

Location: Sitio Aguawan, Brgy. Sisiman, Mariveles, Bataan

Position Overview:

Planters Aggregates, Inc., a start-up company in the aggregates and crushing plant industry, is looking for a committed Safety Officer III / Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to establish, implement, and strengthen our workplace safety and environmental compliance programs. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to regulatory standards mandated by DOLE, DENR–EMB, MGB, PGENRO, and MENRO.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Officer III Functions:

  • Establish, implement, and monitor Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) policies, programs, and procedures for a start-up plant operation.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, safety training, risk assessment, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety & Health Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and lead emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit all required safety reports and documentation to DOLE and other concerned agencies.

Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Functions:

  • Lead environmental compliance and ensure adherence to RA 8749 (Clean Air Act), RA 9275 (Clean Water Act), RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act), RA 6969, and other applicable laws.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit Self-Monitoring Reports (SMR), CMR, and other environmental compliance requirements to DENR–EMB.
  • Coordinate with and maintain compliance requirements of:
  • DENR–EMB (Environmental Management Bureau)
  • MGB (Mines and Geosciences Bureau)
  • PGENRO (Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office)
  • MENRO (Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office)
  • DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment)
  • Monitor plant environmental compliance, including air, water, noise, solid waste, and hazardous waste management.
  • Ensure required permits, licenses, and environmental documents are updated and compliant.
  • Lead environmental audits and sustainability initiatives suitable for a start-up operational environment.

Qualifications:

DOLE-Accredited Safety Officer III

DENR-EMB Accredited Pollution Control Officer

Experience in crushing plant, quarrying, mining, aggregates, or industrial/manufacturing operations is an advantage

Strong background in regulatory compliance with DOLE, DENR-EMB, MGB, PGENRO, and MENRO

Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and documentation skills

Willing to be assigned on-site in Mariveles, Bataan

Work Setup & Schedule:

On-site, Plant-Based

Monday to Saturday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php23, Php25,000.00 per month
