Position Overview: The After-Hours Support Specialist (Virtual Assistant) is responsible for providing timely assistance and support to patients, caregivers, care teams, and referring entities outside of regular business hours. This coverage includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. The specialist ensures urgent needs are addressed promptly, patient care continuity is maintained, and calls or cases are directed to the appropriate, trained personnel within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
● Process and triage urgent G-tube referrals received after hours.
● Assign the appropriate provider to handle referrals based on urgency and patient needs.
● Coordinate necessary X-rays and manage the resumption of feeding for patients.
● Channel calls to the appropriate team members or personnel trained by the practice to handle specific patient needs or clinical concerns.
● Accurately document and maintain all relevant details of referrals, communications, and actions taken.
● Answer after-hours phone inquiries from patients, caregivers, and medical staff with professionalism and empathy.
● Provide accurate information and guidance regarding G-tube replacements and other related issues, while escalating calls as needed to the correct contact.
● Relay important messages and updates to the appropriate team or department promptly.
● Support decision-making for patients and caregivers by ensuring accurate, timely communication.
● Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
● Must be a Registered Nurse
● Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare support, call center, or similar patient-facing role.
● Strong knowledge of scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments, as well as recordkeeping best practices.
● Ability to think critically and solve scheduling challenges under time-sensitive conditions.
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
● Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and exercise sound judgment.
● Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, call management tools, and other relevant software.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Php22,500.00 per month
