Position Summary

The Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor or Assistant Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, manages inventory, coordinates logistics activities, and ensures efficient, safe, and timely movement of goods. This role supports operational planning, supervises warehouse staff, and ensures adherence to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, storage, and dispatching of goods.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counts, reconciliations, and proper documentation.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to 5S/lean principles.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff; assign tasks and monitor performance.
  • Oversee shift scheduling, attendance, and productivity.
  • Promote a positive, efficient, and safety-oriented work culture.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with vendors, transporters, and customers.
  • Ensure timely dispatch, correct documentation (packing lists, delivery notes, invoices), and transport compliance.
  • Monitor lead times, delivery accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to meet operational demands.

Safety, Compliance & Quality Control

  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials, especially hazardous or sensitive items.
  • Maintain quality standards for all warehouse processes.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement warehouse management best practices and ERP/WMS systems.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, staff performance, and logistics operations.
  • Assist in setting KPIs and ensuring operational targets are met.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3– years of warehouse or logistics experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in construction company is preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, forklift operations, and material-handling equipment is an advantage.
